A sculptural expression of pure geometry, the Privacy Thumbturn Forme N°25 brings together a domical base and a smooth spherical thumbturn to create a harmonious and tactile design. Inspired by elemental forms, this artisan door hardware accentuates everyday functionality into an object of visual and physical delight. The two forms unite seamlessly, creating a balanced composition that invites a gentle interplay of shadow and light.

This thoughtful design reflects purpose and poetry as its soft curves echo the Bauhaus belief in form following function within an ergonomic structure. The raw brass gradually darkens and mellows over time, echoing the quiet evolution of spaces that are touched, used, and lived in. Celebrating the authenticity of craftsmanship, this French artisan hardware brings a quiet sophistication and infuses timelessness to personal spaces.

Offered in golden brass, bronze, and satin nickel finishes, Forme N°25 is designed to complement classic and modern interiors. BRASS :

We use brass for its longevity, resistance and inherent antimicrobial and self-decontaminating properties. It is suitable for humid environments such as bathrooms and kitchens. Touch, climate and exposure to the elements will continue to change the color, luster and texture of brass and give it a unique “patina” over time. It's part of our artistic process, each piece is unique.

Our Brass Alloy is 100% recycled. We recycle the brass connectors of gaz cylinder to melt our ingots. The composition of our brass is: copper 60.5% + zinc 38.5% + magnesium 0.1% + Nickel 0.09

Copper has a proved natural antibacterial property. For this reason it is perfect to be used in the kitchen or bathroom, our solid brass creations do not rust, no coating, living finish only.

FINISHES :

Natural Brass is a living finish that develops as the products age. We do not add a protective coating. Touch, climate and exposure to the elements will continue to change the color, luster and texture of brass and give it a unique “patina” over time.

Bronze finish is produced with a dipping process. It is an ancient process which darkens the brass by oxidizing it, so it looks like Brownish Bronze.

Satin Nickel is the type of plating or finish that is done on brass. We get the Satin nickel by using electrolysis technique.

Carbon Black finish is produced with a dipping process. It is an ancient process which darkens the brass by oxidizing it, so it looks like Black finish.

WHAT IS A LIVING FINISH ?

Unlacquered product = Living finish that develops as the product ages. We do not add a protective coating. Touch, climate and exposure to the elements will continue to change the color, luster and texture of brass and give it a unique “patina” over time.

We consider the oxidation process due to climate and use to be a natural aging process of the patina, therefore we do not guarantee the patina finishes of the product. it's part of our artistic process, each piece is unique.
