BRASS :

We use brass for its longevity, resistance and inherent antimicrobial and self-decontaminating properties. It is suitable for humid environments such as bathrooms and kitchens. Touch, climate and exposure to the elements will continue to change the color, luster and texture of brass and give it a unique ā€œpatinaā€ over time. It's part of our artistic process, each piece is unique.

Our Brass Alloy is 100% recycled.Ā We recycle the brass connectors of gaz cylinder to melt our ingots. The composition of our brass is: copperĀ  60.5% + zinc 38.5% + magnesium 0.1% + Nickel 0.09

Copper has a proved natural antibacterial property. For this reason it is perfect to be used in the kitchen or bathroom, our solid brass creations do not rust, no coating, living finish only.


FINISHES :

Natural BrassĀ is a living finish that develops as the products age. We do not add a protective coating. Touch, climate and exposure to the elements will continue to change the color, luster and texture of brass and give it a unique ā€œpatinaā€ over time.

Bronze finishĀ is produced with a dipping process. It is an ancient process which darkens the brass by oxidizing it, so it looks like Brownish Bronze.Ā 

Satin NickelĀ is the type of plating or finish that is done on brass. We get the Satin nickel by using electrolysis technique.

Carbon Black finishĀ is produced with a dipping process. It is an ancient process which darkensĀ  the brass by oxidizing it, so it looks like Black finish.

WHAT IS A LIVING FINISH ?

Unlacquered product = Living finish that develops as the product ages. We do not add a protective coating. Touch, climate and exposure to the elements will continue to change the color, luster and texture of brass and give it a unique ā€œpatinaā€ over time.

We consider the oxidation process due to climate and use to be a natural aging process of the patina, therefore we do not guarantee the patina finishes of the product. it's part of our artistic process, each piece is unique.
